Coca-Cola China announced on Weibo that it will launch its first alcoholic beverage in China. Topo Chico 托帕客, a hard seltzer sparkling drink, marks Coca-Cola’s first attempt to break into China’s alcoholic beverage market. Meeting Chinese consumers’ demands for healthy products, the drink is low in calories and sugar.
Currently, there are three flavours, including lemon-lime, strawberry with guava, and pineapple. Consumers can currently purchase it on Coca-Cola’s Tmall flagship store and it will soon be available on other e-commerce platforms.
