The CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun has officially joined Bilibili and posted his first video on the short-form video platform. Within less than 24 hours of posting, the video gained 500,000 views and his account obtained 156,000 followers.
Along with Lei Jun, Xiaomi Store and Xiaomi MIUI also joined the platform in order to promote Xiaomi’s new products to a wider audience.
Bilibili’s total net revenue reached RMB 2,315.5 million in the first six months of 2020, a 69% increase from the same period in 2019. It has acquired 172.4 million monthly active users which stands as a year-on-year increase of 70%. 50.8 million of them visit the platform daily.
Bilibili’s growth means that it is now seen as a key platform for brands to promote their products and appeal to a different audience.
