Chinese video platform Bilibili brought in 3.9 billion RMB ($604 million) revenue in Q1 2021, marking an increase of 68% year-on-year and exceeding market expectations. Other notable results from Bilibili’s Q1 financial report which was released today (13 May) are:
- Daily active users exceeded 60 million, an increase of 18% year-on-year
- Monthly active users reached 223 million, an increase of 30% year-on-year
- Monthly active users on mobile devices reached 209 million, an increase of 33% year-on-year
Bilibili is a popular platform among China’s Gen-Z and has evolved from focussing on anime, comic and games to taking on a broader range of content.
