China-based data company 36Kr, the Global Digital Marketing Summit (GDMS) and the Miaozhen Academy of Marketing jointly released the “2021 China Digital Marketing Trend Report” today (December 8). Here are some key takeaways:
- 47% of advertisers predict that China’s overall marketing investment will increase in 2021.
- Overall marketing expenses (including traditional and digital channels) are predicted to grow by an average of 17% in 2021, a significant jump from the 8% increase in 2020.
- Advertisers with a high-budget will focus more on brand goals, especially building brand image. 80% of senior managers strongly agree that brand image is still important in the digital age.
- Short form videos, KOL marketing and newsfeed adverts are three most popular advertising forms for advertisers.
