According to a survey conducted by China Youth Daily, sanitation is the most important factor to young Chinese consumers renting during COVID-19.
The online survey was conducted among young people aged between 18 and 35 who are looking to rent an apartment, of which 15% were graduates, and 85% were employees with rental experience.
- Approximately 54% of the 2,000 respondents chose cleanliness and sanitation as their top priority when they rent a flat.
- 53% of respondents said that they prefer renting an apartment built on a north-south layout, which usually provides good natural light and ventilation.
- 55.2% of respondents prefer a studio, while 6.7% are likely to share an apartment with more than one person.
