AutoNavi’s map app Amap reached 100 million daily active users on October 1. Amap is China’s leading mapping, navigation and location-based services provider.
Amp allows users to directly book taxis from multiple ride-hailing companies, search for suitable car parking options, find available bicycles nearby to rent and offers information about nearby tourist attractions. Within the app, HERE Technologies is the main provider of global map services and traffic information outside of China.
According to Amap’s data, 35% of users travelled to other cities on October 1 for Golden Week celebrations, while 65% of users remained the cities where they live.
