In celebration of Earth Day, Aesop China is inviting customers to take part in its Rinse & Return recycling program. Shoppers can bring back used Aesop packaging (glass bottles, plastic containers, paper boxes, and aluminum tubes) after a simple rinse to any store, helping boost recycling and reuse efforts. The top 1,000 participants in mainland China who return the most bottles will receive a limited-edition Geranium Leaf Hydrating Body Treatment.

As of March 2025, the program has collected 536 kilograms of empty packaging, including 409 kg of glass, 49.8 kg of plastic, 44.7 kg of metal, and 30.5 kg of paperboard.
Most of Aesop’s plastic packaging is made from recyclable PET, with at least 97% recycled content, used across its 500mL, 100mL, and 50mL bottles. The company continues to explore new ways to move toward more sustainable operations.
Aesop has set a goal of ensuring that by 2030, over 95% of its products use renewable or naturally derived ingredients, and more than 95% of its rinse-free formulas are biodegradable. It has also been certified as a B Corporation, reflecting its long-term commitment to environmental responsibility.
