Retailer Suning has partnered with short-form video platform Douyin to develop its e-commerce strategy.
From August 10, the two companies will collaborate on the provision of supply chain services and livestreaming. All of Suning’s products will be available on Douyin stores so users won’t need to switch to third-party platform to make a purchase.
More and more brands are working with Douyin to expand their reach for e-commerce. In addition, many e-commerce platforms are also teaming up with social media sites to promote sales:
- JD and WeChat
- Bilibili worked with Tmall and Taobao
- Douyin and Kuaishou both collaborated with Ctrip and Meituan
