Luckin teams up with Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group for panda-themed lemon tea

On April 21, Luckin Coffee announced on its official Weibo account a new collaboration with Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group Ltd., launching two upgraded drinks: Light Coffee Lemon Tea and Grape Lemon Tea. Both feature lemon juice sourced from Anyue, Sichuan, and freshly brewed jasmine tea.

As part of the campaign, Luckin invited two of Chengdu’s most beloved pandas, He Hua and Neng Miao, and introduced a variety of co-branded offerings including meal combos, stickers, badges, and plush charms. Two panda-themed desserts were also introduced: Panda Cheese Pastry and Panda Mung Bean Pastry.

From April 22–24 and April 26–May 1, Luckin will host pop-up stores at Chengdu’s Wide & Narrow Alley and Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street. Visitors may even have a chance encounter with He Hua and Neng Miao.

To further spotlight Chengdu, Luckin also released a micro-movie narrated in Sichuan dialect by local rapper Boss Shady. The short film offers a first-person citywalk tour through the eyes of He Hua, blending storytelling with local flavor. By infusing its products with regional identity and partnering with China’s top panda IP, Luckin not only captures the attention of young consumers but also broadens its brand appeal through the global popularity of pandas.
