LOEWE has officially named chef Chen Jie and screenwriter Qin Wen as cultural advisors in China. Both are respected voices in their fields, known for their independence, creativity, and cultural depth—qualities that closely align with LOEWE’s focus on craftsmanship and artistic heritage. The appointments reflect the brand’s continued commitment to cross-cultural exchange and support for China’s creative landscape.

Chen Jie began her career as a Kunqu opera performer before shifting paths at 30 to become a chef. She trained at Mugaritz in Spain, one of the world’s top restaurants, and now leads the kitchen at Fumée in Shenzhen. Her work fuses Chinese cultural references and Eastern aesthetics with modern culinary technique. She sees food as a form of performance, once describing each menu as “its own staged production.“
Qin Wen is best known for writing hit dramas like The First Half of My Life, Ode to Joy, and Blossoms Shanghai. Her storytelling is celebrated for its nuanced portrayal of women’s inner lives. “People say writers are the hands of God,” she once said, “but really, we’re the hands searching for our characters.”

In May, LOEWE launched its first Chinese-language podcast series, LOEWE FM. Using “When She Strikes” as the podcast’s main theme, Chen and Qin discussed pivotal moments of action in life and creation. They will continue contributing to LOEWE’s cultural programming, offering perspectives that blend local insight with the brand’s global vision.
