According to a report by iResearch, the market transaction size of China’s fresh food e-commerce industry increased by 36.7% in 2019 to 279.62 billion RMB.
However, the size of the market for 2020 is expected to be considerably higher as demand for deliveries of fresh produce has increased rapidly due to the pandemic. It is estimated that the fresh food e-commerce market will exceed 800 billion RMB by 2023.
