Deli uses art to support aesthetic education in rural areas

As a longtime favorite in school supplies for generations of Chinese families, Deli has hosted various student-focused events over the years, including painting contests, stationery festivals, and campaigns supporting gaokao. In 2024, the brand shifted its focus to teenage aesthetic education, aiming to expand its influence while promoting social responsibility. Deli revamped its long-running “Deli Cup National Children’s Painting Contest” and launched a new initiative called “Deli Art Planet,” committed to offering diverse and high-quality art education experiences.

The second season of the revamped painting contest officially kicked off on 23 April and runs through 25 May. This year, the brand is focusing on public-benefit themes, encouraging children to express the world through their eyes. Every submitted artwork will be converted into paintbrush donations under the “Deli Rainbow Gift” program, which will be sent to children in under-resourced mountainous regions along with additional supplies from the brand.

Children can create artwork under four main themes: “The World Through My Eyes,” “My Good Friend,” “The City in My Eyes,” and “Nature Has a Spirit.” Participants have a chance to win certificates and prizes, but more importantly, their work becomes a meaningful gift to others. Deli is also organizing offline painting events in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Nanjing to further engage young creators.

As a leading brand in China’s stationery industry, Deli has long supported youth development. The company says it remains committed to providing children with safe, high-quality tools that inspire creativity. Looking ahead, Deli plans to deepen its work in education and partner with families, schools, and communities to support the healthy growth of the next generation.
