NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang visits Beijing: Expresses willingness to continue cooperation

On April 17, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, met with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang in Beijing. This is Huang’s second visit to Beijing in three months. During the meeting, he emphasized that China is an important market for NVIDIA and expressed hope to continue cooperation.

Huang noted that NVIDIA has been operating in China for over 25 years and currently employs more than 4,000 people across branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and other cities. The company also boasts one of the lowest employee turnover rates in China—just 0.9% annually.

NVIDIA’s research and development efforts in China go beyond basic support, maintaining close collaboration with local developers and startups to drive innovation and support the growth of the domestic tech industry. “We currently have over 1.5 million CUDA developers in China and work with more than 3,000 startups to drive the growth of China’s tech industry,” Huang said.

In an earlier interview, Huang shared an observation: “Fifty percent of the world’s AI researchers are from China—the largest single group by far, with no close second. So it’s only natural that China will make significant contributions to AI research.” He added that as AI rapidly reshapes the global landscape, it is poised to become the most transformative core technology of our time, with broad potential to drive progress across industries. Cooperation in this area, he noted, could have a profound impact on the structure of the global market.
