Gene Hsu

Gene was born and raised in the “deep South” of Atlanta before his Chinese ethnicity was a cause of concern and followed his curiosity to China, as the inertia of his career and life straddles two increasingly polarized worlds. He discovered his passion and purpose between these two worlds to help others understand their China journeys in the proper cultural context of their cross-cultural relationships.

Gene published The Chinese Honeymoon Period and hosts the China Myth Podcast to help foreigners better understand how Chinese people think, why they behave the way they do, and how to create new communication patterns that lead to more constructive cooperation.
