Miu Miu is kicking off summer with the return of its Summer Reads series, transforming Beijing’s Chaoyang Park into an open-air reading lounge from 27 June to 28. The event offers a poetic break from the city—inviting guests to slow down and reconnect with books, nature, and quiet thought. Parallel editions will launch in Milan, Paris, Hong Kong, and Osaka.

This year’s spotlight is on two groundbreaking women writers: French existentialist Simone de Beauvoir and Japanese post-war author Fumiko Enchi. Their works—Inseparable: A Novel and The Waiting Years—come with a Miu Miu makeover, including limited-edition covers, bookmarks, clips, and stamps. Guests with reservations can take home these custom editions as gifts.
The series builds on last year’s Shanghai debut, which featured works by Jane Austen and Alba De Céspedes, exploring themes of love, intimacy, and identity through women’s voices.

More than a branded activation, Summer Reads reflects Miu Miu‘s ongoing interest in culture and storytelling. It invites readers into the worlds of pioneering women—where style meets substance, and literature becomes a shared summer ritual.
