Wait, KFC made an e-bike?

KFC just dropped something no one expected: an electric bike, made in partnership with Chinese EV brand TAILG. The fast-food chain isn’t entering the mobility market—but it’s pushing brand collaborations to a new level.

The KFC x TAILG e-bike is fully loaded for city cruising, featuring a phone mount, cup holder, long-range battery, LED headlights, memory foam seat, and smart controls. Styled in KFC’s classic red-and-white with Colonel Sanders’ bowtie front and center, the bike even comes with a custom alarm that yells, “I want to eat KFC!” when touched—equal parts bizarre and brilliant.

To score one, customers can order a 29.9 RMB (about 4 USD) “Weekend Crazy Combo” on select days and enter a lottery. Across three weekends, 2,000 bikes will be given away nationwide. The campaign goes offline too. In cities like Guangzhou, Nanjing, and Changsha, the bikes are displayed inside a transparent truck, cruising through city streets like a moving billboard. Pop-up events let fans interact with the product in person.

By turning a fried chicken-themed e-bike into a viral stunt, KFC is staking its claim in youth culture. This is brand collab 2.0: bold, local, and impossible to ignore.
