Starting in August, more than 1,000 medical workers in Hebei province can go to certain cinemas for free for a whole year. The initiative is for medical workers who were sent to Wuhan, Hubei province, to help combat COVID-19.
Over 100 cinemas from 11 cities in Hebei are taking part in the initiative. They are offering unlimited cinema visits to those eligible, as well as allowing their companions to buy tickets at a discounted price.
