A new manufacturing plant for COVID-19 vaccines has passed all biosecurity checks and is ready to start production.
According to the Beijing Institute of Biological Products, the plant, located in Beijing, was completed on 15 April and has the capacity to produce up to 120 million doses of the vaccine a year.

Another manufacturing plant from the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products completed construction on 1 July, taking the total capacity of vaccine doses to 220 million per year.
