Oppo’s augmented reality glasses have been certified by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which means that they should be able to launch in the EU soon. EUIPO is responsible for managing EU trademark and registered community design. The application was submitted for Spain, and this is where OPPO plan to first launch the product in Europe.
According to OPPO, the glasses Oppo AR Glass can reproduce the surrounding environment in 3D and are equipped with diffractive optical waveguide technology to obtain high sound quality.
Oppo is China’s top smartphone brand and is expanding its presence globally by partnering with over 80 network operators around the world, most recently with América Móvil in South America.
