The Chinese edition of Fortune magazine released its Fortune China 500 List for 2020 today (July 27).
So which of China’s colossal companies made it to the top?
The China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation came out as number one with a revenue of 2966.2 billion RMB.
E-commerce giant JD ranked as the largest Chinese company in the “internet service and retail” category and 13th overall with 579.9 billion RMB revenue. Other notable companies to make the top 100 were: Alibaba (18th), Xiaomi (50th), and electrical appliance companies Haier (52nd) and Gree (54th).
There were 39 newcomers on this year’s list, including social commerce platform Pinduoduo which ranked at 321 with 30.1 billion RMB revenue.
