Thorsten J. Pattberg, PhD, is a German cultural critic and author of ‘The East-West Dichotomy’, ‘The Euro-Tao’ and ‘Inside Peking University’. He writes about a variety of China-related topics, including new Confucianism, Chinese opera, statecraft and education, and is currently co-operating with Hanban and Beijing’s Foreign Language Press on a new book, ‘Knowledge is a Polyglot’, in which he argues for a more Chinese global language.
